Full warning: this is a bit of a bragging rights blog post! I’m usually a very modest woman and rarely ever boast about any achievements. But after years of planning and setbacks, I felt finally reaching 7 continents deserve a celebratory post! For those who are curious, here’s a list of places I’ve been to on each continent:
North America

I was born, raised and still live in the US. I’ve also been to Canada a few times and have visited Mexico, Bermuda, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
South America

Peru was my first ever solo trip back in 2017 as a celebration trip to myself for surviving grad schools while working full time! I recently got to explore more of South America with my recent Antarctica trip by visiting Ushuaia Argentina before the cruise and spent 4 days in Chile after Antarctica.
Europe

I’ve been lucky enough to visit Europe a number of times now! Countries explored there include Iceland, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Andorra, France, and Greece!
Africa

I’ve only been to Africa once, which included one week in Tanzania and a day layover exploring Nairobi, Kenya! I’m hoping to visit more countries there in my 30’s, now that I’m more established in my career to make money to afford the flights over there!
Asia

I’ve only been to China so far, but I’m hoping to explore more of the continent in my 30’s, including Japan and the Stan countries of Central Asia!
Australia/Oceania

Australia and New Zealand and hoping to explore the South Pacific Islands.
Antarctica

I just came back from an introductory air cruise to Antarctica’s South Shetland Islands! I’m hoping to go back there in 2-3 years and set foot on the peninsula this time!
So what’s next?
Now that I crossed this major travel goal off my bucket list, I need to create some future travel goals for myself! My next big travel goal to achieve is to visit 35 countries/territories by 35 (I’m 32 now and have visited 23 so far). I’d also like to visit every country in the world, but that will have to be a longer-term goal for me to achieve before I die. 🙂
